Shatred?

Sure.... Well, for one there was too much to look at/into and read from this car... and too little a time... saw this on way to San Antonio.... at a traffic intersection in a place called San Marcos.....San Marcos is by itself in the middle of nowhere..... at an equidistance from austin, san antonio and slightly away from houston, this one village was turned into branded factory outlets capital .....have a not so pleasant shopping experience there... but lets keep that for another blog :)

Coming back to this car..... for once didnt know Houston was the art car capital..... two... took a little while this is was just a normal honda civic stuck with tiny pieces of mirrors.... and three? and old lady was driving it.....

Been wanting to blog on the local train experience for a long time.... But a picture speaks better than a thousand words.... So a video? ;)

There must be a million blogs on the local trains of mumbai already... but for my friends out there who havent had a chance to take a ride.... well... this video surely shows what they would have to go through to even get into one......

I like the way the display board works on this sytem.... While 8:41 is obviously the time of arrival (and departure :) ), the K is the symbol for the terminus... in this case, Kalyan.... 1 at the extreme right is the number of minutes the train is away from the station... so a 2, get ready.... a 1... the whole sea of humans start inching towards the edge of the platform, sometimes scaring new comers (for the city) if these people would go head on onto the slowing train..and the 9 on top is to say the train would have 9 coaches.... we usually have two types of these fellows.... 9 coach and 12 coach.... as you can guess, the 12 coach is "slightly" less crowded, so the 9 coaches are not for the weak hearted :)...... interestingly, not everyone can take any of the 9 coaches.... 3 goto ladies only, 2 for first class, 1 for first class ladies only..... and this video shows the contrast...so as you can see if you are a male travelling second class, and you are weak hearted, nice mannered, you probably would stay on the platform for the rest of your life :)....
